Whether you are arriving in Peru, beginning your Pan-American adventure, crossing South America, shipping your motorcycle overseas, or simply looking for a safe place to rest, we are delighted to welcome you.
We are John Sánchez Chirinos and Family, travelers just like you.
Years ago, we set out to explore Peru by road, discovering its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and incredible people. Along the way, we also experienced the challenges every traveler knows well—finding a secure place to stay, protecting our vehicle, dealing with customs procedures, preparing for international shipping, or simply needing someone we could trust in an unfamiliar city.
Those experiences inspired us to create El Tip Viajero.
Today, El Tip Viajero is much more than an apartment or an urban campground. It has become a meeting point for travelers from all over the world—a place where overlanders, motorcyclists, cyclists, backpackers, digital nomads, and families find not only accommodation, but also friendship, support, and practical solutions for life on the road.
Here you will find comfortable apartments, secure storage for motorcycles and expedition vehicles, urban camping, long-term vehicle storage, luggage storage, airport assistance, SOAT insurance, legal guidance, Fast TIP/CIT Suspension and Reactivation services, and international vehicle shipping from the Port of Callao.
If your journey takes you beyond Lima, we can also help you discover other incredible destinations through our services and trusted partners in Cusco, Pucallpa, Colán, and Caleta Vidal, allowing you to experience Peru with confidence from the Pacific coast to the Amazon.
We are also proud to be the founders of Arca Network, a growing community that connects travelers and trusted hosts from the United States to Patagonia. Through Arca Network, thousands of travelers share safe places, local knowledge, workshops, campgrounds, accommodations, mechanics, and essential services, proving every day that the best journeys are built through cooperation and friendship.
Our philosophy is simple:
Travelers Helping Travelers.
Whether you stay with us for one night, one week, or several months, our commitment is always the same: to make your time in Peru easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
From the moment you contact us until the day you continue your adventure, you are not just another guest—you become part of our traveling family.
Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.
We hope the memories you create in Peru stay with you for a lifetime, and that wherever the road takes you next, you will always remember that you have a home waiting for you here.
Welcome to El Tip Viajero.
Welcome to Arca Network.
Welcome to your home in Peru.
Safe travels,
John Sánchez Chirinos & Family

Greetings! I'm John Sánchez, a seasoned lawyer with a Doctorate from the National University of San Marcos. My professional journey has seamlessly blended the realms of legal advocacy and the vibrant world of tourism.
With a solid academic foundation and a wealth of experience, I have not only practiced law but also imparted my knowledge as a lecturer on topics ranging from internet law to public administration. My roles as the Head of Planning and Development at the Superior Court of Justice in Lima and the Director of the Judicial Management Unit at the Supreme Court of Justice of Peru have honed my skills in legal strategy and administration.
Beyond the courtroom, I am an avid traveler, having explored the vast network of roads in Peru and beyond. From the breathtaking landscapes of Ecuador to the sun-soaked shores of Florida, USA, my travels have extended across South America and the Caribbean. These journeys have not only broadened my perspective but also allowed me to connect with diverse cultures, enhancing my ability to navigate legal landscapes with a global understanding.
In addition to my legal pursuits, I am the proud founder of an organization dedicated to VW Beetle enthusiasts. For over 16 years, our community has not only celebrated a shared passion but has actively engaged in community service initiatives. Volunteering within the country and founding the #apoyaalosviajeros group, comprised of motorhome enthusiasts worldwide, speaks to my commitment to social impact beyond the legal realm.
My extensive experience in managing tourism-related networks has provided me with a valuable web of connections. Through my involvement in various travel groups and initiatives, I have cultivated relationships that span the tourism industry. This network, built over years of dedicated engagement, positions me as a well-connected professional with insights into the dynamic world of travel.
In conclusion, my professional journey is a testament to the seamless integration of legal acumen and a passion for exploration. Whether advocating in courtrooms or traversing the highways of Peru, I bring a unique blend of skills, experiences, and a global perspective to every endeavor.
Let's continue to explore new horizons, both in the world of law and the enchanting landscapes that await our discovery.

Welcome to El Tip Viajero - Where Hospitality Finds its Home!
Welcome to El Tip Viajero, Peru's complete Overlander Hub, where travelers from around the world find much more than accommodation.
We are John Sánchez Chirinos and Family, founders of El Tip Viajero and Arca Network. What began as a family journey across Peru became a mission to help other travelers explore the Americas with greater safety, confidence, and freedom.
As travelers ourselves, we experienced the challenges of crossing borders, searching for safe accommodation, finding secure vehicle storage, navigating customs procedures, arranging international shipping, and simply looking for trustworthy people willing to help.
Instead of accepting those challenges as part of the journey, we decided to create solutions.
Today, El Tip Viajero has grown into one of Peru's most comprehensive traveler support centers, welcoming overlanders, motorcyclists, campervan travelers, expedition vehicles, cyclists, backpackers, digital nomads, and families from every continent.
Whether you are beginning your Pan-American adventure, crossing South America, shipping your vehicle overseas, temporarily leaving Peru, or simply looking for a comfortable place to stay, our family is here to help.
At El Tip Viajero, travelers can access a complete range of services designed specifically for international road travel.
Fully equipped apartments and private traveler rooms with kitchens, living areas, hot showers, high-speed fiber internet, outdoor social spaces, and a welcoming family atmosphere.
The first Urban Camping concept in Lima created specifically for overlanders, offering secure facilities within a private property.
Safe storage for motorcycles, camper vans, expedition trucks, motorhomes, bicycles, and travel equipment, whether for a few days or several months.
We assist travelers with Temporary Import Permit procedures, providing legal guidance, secure vehicle storage, customs coordination, and fast reactivation upon their return to Peru.
We help international travelers obtain Peru's mandatory SOAT insurance quickly and easily, allowing them to continue their journey legally and safely.
We coordinate motorcycle, car, camper, and expedition vehicle shipping from the Port of Callao to destinations around the world, working alongside experienced logistics partners and customs professionals.
As a lawyer with extensive experience in administrative procedures, John Sánchez Chirinos provides legal guidance for travelers facing customs, documentation, and administrative processes related to their vehicles.
Route planning, local recommendations, airport transfers, mechanics, workshops, border information, and practical advice based on years of traveling throughout Peru.
Although Lima is our main operations center, El Tip Viajero has expanded its services to help travelers experience different regions of Peru.
Our traveler network includes services and trusted accommodations in:
• Lima
• Cusco
• Pucallpa – Gateway to the Peruvian Amazon
• Colán (Piura)

El Tip Viajero is also the birthplace of Arca Network, an international community connecting travelers, hosts, campgrounds, mechanics, workshops, shipping companies, apartments, and trusted services from the United States to Patagonia.
Arca Network was created with one purpose:
Travelers Helping Travelers.
Every destination added to the network strengthens a continental community where knowledge is shared, friendships are created, and travelers support one another throughout their journey across the Americas.
Together, El Tip Viajero and Arca Network represent a new way of traveling—one built on trust, collaboration, and genuine hospitality.
Travelers choose El Tip Viajero because we understand what life on the road truly means.
We know that every journey is unique.
Sometimes you need a safe apartment.
Sometimes a secure garage.
Sometimes legal assistance.
Sometimes someone to ship your motorcycle to another continent.
Sometimes you simply need a family that welcomes you as if you had arrived home.
That is exactly what we offer.
Our commitment does not end when you check out.
Many travelers continue contacting us months or even years after leaving Peru, seeking advice, recommendations, or assistance as they continue their adventures across South America.

Beyond Lima, our traveler network extends to Cusco, Pucallpa, Colán, and Caleta Vidal, where travelers can enjoy trusted accommodations, unique destinations, and the same philosophy of hospitality and personalized support.
El Tip Viajero is the birthplace of Arca Network, a community that connects trusted hosts, campgrounds, mechanics, accommodations, shipping services, and traveler-friendly businesses from the United States to Patagonia.
Built on the principle of "Travelers Helping Travelers," Arca Network allows travelers to discover reliable places, share experiences, and become part of one of the largest collaborative overlanding communities in the Americas.
Above all, travelers choose El Tip Viajero because they know they will be welcomed by people who genuinely understand life on the road.
We know that every journey is unique, every traveler has a story, and sometimes what makes the greatest difference is simply finding someone willing to help.
That is the spirit that inspired El Tip Viajero.
That is the spirit behind Arca Network.
And that is why so many travelers return to us whenever they cross Peru.
Welcome to El Tip Viajero.
Your Home in Peru. Your Family on the Road.
At El Tip Viajero, we are proud to be the founders of Arca Network, Global Association for Overland Campsites, Lodging, and Travel Services, https://www.arcacamp.com an international community created by travelers, for travelers.
Arca Network was born from a simple idea that we discovered while traveling across Peru and later throughout the overlanding community: the greatest resource any traveler can find is another traveler.
No guidebook, app, or map can replace the kindness of someone who has already traveled the road ahead, knows the local conditions, and is willing to help.
That belief became the foundation of Arca Network.
Today, Arca Network connects travelers, hosts, campgrounds, apartments, mechanics, workshops, vehicle storage facilities, shipping services, local businesses, and trusted travel services from the United States to Patagonia, creating one of the largest collaborative traveler communities in the Americas.
More than an interactive map, Arca Network is a living network of people who share the same passion for exploration and the same values of friendship, respect, solidarity, and mutual support.
Every location added to the network represents more than a place on a map—it represents a person or family ready to welcome fellow travelers, share local knowledge, and help someone continue their journey safely.
Our vision has always been to make long-distance travel easier, safer, and more connected.
Whether you are driving the Pan-American Highway, riding a motorcycle through the Andes, exploring the Amazon, crossing borders with your camper, or beginning the journey of a lifetime from Alaska to Ushuaia, Arca Network is designed to help you find trusted places and trustworthy people along the way.
The philosophy that guides our community is simple:
Travelers Helping Travelers.
This means sharing knowledge instead of keeping it, opening our doors instead of closing them, and understanding that every act of kindness strengthens the global travel community.
As founders of Arca Network, our mission extends beyond providing accommodation or travel services. We work every day to connect people across cultures, countries, and languages, building relationships based on trust and the shared passion for discovering the world.
We believe that travel has the power to unite people, create lifelong friendships, and break down borders—not only between countries, but also between cultures and communities.
Through El Tip Viajero and Arca Network, we continue building a continental network where every traveler can find support, every host can share their hospitality, and every journey becomes part of something much greater.
Together, we are creating a community that stretches across the Americas—from the United States to Patagonia—proving that no traveler is ever truly alone.
Welcome to Arca Network.
A community built by travelers, for travelers.
